Bio

I am a Lecturer in Accounting at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. My research focuses on corporate narrative disclosures in financial reporting. Specifically, I am interested in the determinants, properties and consequences of narrative disclosures and accounting conservatism. My working projects employ empirical archival methods. I use textual analysis techniques to extract relevant information from open-source unstructured textual data released via firms' emerging disclosure channels. I am a supporter of the open science movement, which aims to make research more transparent and replicable for the academic community and more understandable and interesting for the general public. I enjoy photographing, climbing, playing tennis and video games in my free time.
